Mara wanted Papa to comeover and help her carve her pumpkins. They have done it every year and she thinks it is great. Papa has lots of fun carving tools and afterwards we always get to roast the yummy seeds.
Sunday we had Gram's 75th BIrthday party at my moms. There were about 40 people there for the festivities. We had great food, cool gifts and yummy desserts.
The girls were having so much fun playing and seeing all of the family!
Saturday night Mara attended kids night out so Justin and I escaped for a bit. Tami, James and Toby joined us for dinner at Katy Downs. After that we headed over to E9 to meet up with some friends who were really whooping it up for Halloween. Jolee and Kurt wre jail birds and correction officer, brad was a pilot (go figure), Genni was a 70's gal and there was us. Justin and I didn't dress up this year. We were just so happy to get out and spend some time with each other that didn't involve diapering and bottle making!! :)
Sunday was our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. This year we decided to try Picha Farms instead of Spooner. It was pretty fun!
Gracelyn was fascinated with these big round orange things!! Some of them were as big as she was. Mara was overwhelmed with how many pumkins there were and kept shouting " here is a good one". We had to cut her off after we had 5 pumpkins in our cart!!
Gracelyn rode around in the cart for a while because she was fascinated with all the mud around. At one point she was completely rolling around in it!! Yuck!!
There was a huge corn maze, a rope swing for the kids to hang off of and of course the pumpkin sling. Mara did it and she won 2 baby pumpkins. Great job!!
I guess now we have to go home and carve em!! Mara called Papa for help. Stay tuned for the designs we came up with!!!
