Good friends and a glass of wine

Just like the LeAnn Rimes song says.. Every now and then everybody needs a good friend and a glass of wine!

Mary, Shelly, Kat and I met Wednesday night for some appetizers and wine at this cute little place on 6th called Cork. It felt so nice to just hang, chat and enjoy some great girlfriend company.

Thanks ladies I can't wait till next time..

Reporting for Duty

The 2nd Captain Meisberger in my house!

Play Date

Thursday we had a play date over at the Rosatis house. Gracelyn, Clara and Mia's birthdays are within weeks of each other. These girls just love each other so much and had such a fun afternoon. Next year the 3 of them get to be in the same class at school as well. This afternoon they played babies, tents, tea party, gardening and had lunch. A fun time was had by all!

Mia spilled water on her pants so she just decided that this look was best.

This is Claras latest thing. Every time you talk to her she sticks out her tongue. It is hard not to laugh!

Hey Little Ant

Gracelyn has discovered ants and it is not pretty. The method goes like this... Capture the ant, have it tickle your fingers, squish the ant and then cry a little because now our ant is dead. EEEeeWWWWwwww!!

Monkeys at the Zoo

Sunday all of us monkeys made a trip to the zoo. Mammie, Juju, Tami and Addyson joined us as well. The animals were all out and we got to see a fun show as well. Gracelyn got to see the elephants poop and pee and wouldn't stop laughing or talking about it pretty much for the rest of the week. The words out of her mouth were "mama elephants have real big poops". Oh I love what kids say!!

Addyson really loved the sharks and every time one would swim by she would giggle. I just love this happy baby!

All in all it was a very successful zoo trip and we even got to ride the carousel at the very end.

Tea time

Last Saturday it was a beautiful sunny day so I decided to set up a tea party for the girls. It was a little windy out so our party was cut a little short but the girls had so much fun regardless. I put out the adult size tea cups and saucers in which they enjoyed the finest of apple juices. The juice was followed by delicious cupcakes from this great little cupcake store called Dulce. The girls invited a couple of their animal friends over for the event as well. Enjoy!!

Oh yeah and the girls dressed up as well. Notice Gracelyns nightgown and Maras wig.. Silly girls :)

Mama I'm a Big Girl Now!!

Here is a glimpse of Gracelyns latest favorite song. Mara listened to it once and that was it! It was memorized and every day we listen to Mama i'm a big girl now (Hairspray soundtrack)over and over. Here is her morning performance from today...

Ya Ya

Saturday was April Ya Ya (girls dinner). This month we went all the way up to Sarah's house in Bothell to meet Emma and to celebrate Tessa, Laura and Sarahs Birthdays. Pizza was the meal and cupcakes were the dessert. The girls were spoiled with good gifts and of course great friends. Every time we got together it is a reminder of what a great group of gals I am blessed with. Emma was adorable and found a cozy spot in my arms to snuggle into and spend the rest of the night snoozing away.

Thanks ladies for another great night!!

313th Promo Party

Friday night Justin and I got to attend his squadrons promotion party which was held at the Varsity Bar and grill. Prior to going to the restaurant we got to go on a friends big boat for some sunshine, cocktails and good times with great friends. It was an amazing view of the water and to tell you the truth it was hard to leave the boat. The party was great and I got to hang out with some of my favorite friends Genny and Jolee. It is so nice to have good gal wives to share this stuff with when you are part of such a big Air Force community. The night was wild with food, cupcakes, ice luge and lots of dancing. Justin and I got to have a night away and stay at the beautiful Hotel Murano in downtown tacoma. We slept in until 9!! What?????

My brother and sister both work at Varsity so we had to grab a pic..

This is my brothers tatoo he got of his 3 neices names. Um what a cool uncle he is!

Can you say crush??

Tonight my old great friend PJ came over to bid out some work that he is going to be doing in our backyard. PJ who I have known since we were very small always brings his son Will over when he comes. Gracelyn has a big crush on him and I think Will has a big crush on her. Tonight Will was showing off his skateboarding skills which I must say were quite impressive. Apparently Gracelyn couldn't handle it because she laid a big ol kiss right on his cheek. It was just so cute and I think I remember a time when his daddy did the same thing to me all those years ago! hee hee The scary thing is Will has an older brother Mikey who is almost 10 who Mara gets red faced about every time you mention his name :) Gracelyn and Will are 3 wks apart in age but this kid really has some great skills. I think we are looking at the next Tony Hawk!!!

Sleepy Sweetness

There is nothing better then waking up in the morning and getting to see my two girls all snugged up and fast asleep. Last night they got to have a slumber party on Gracelyns bedroom floor. I put big blankets down and they pretended they were camping. Mara read Gracelyn many books and they even said their bedtime prayers together. Mara prayed for the usual.. thank you for this beautiful day, wonderful food, and a wondeful family. Gracelyn prayed that she got to sleep with her sissy all the time! How cute.... Amen

Little Black Cloud

I swear there has been a little black cloud hanging over my head since the start of 09. I just really wish it would go away. It seems like this year so far has been such a battle. Please help me to blow this little black cloud away and bring on the sunny days of happiness and peacefulness!! Thank You :)

Happy Easter

A few days late but still worth the post! Daddy was on Easter duty this year because mommy was a bit under the weather. The girls found their baskets, dyed eggs, had a feast at nana and papas as well as a very wet egg hunt. Fun was had by all!!

Spring Time Art

This afternoon while Gracelyn was napping Mara and I decided to make paper flowers for the Easter table. They are really simple and super cute to make. You can take all sorts of scrapbooking paper and cut out your different petal shapes. Punch a small hole in the center of them. Then you take a pipe cleaner, fold down about 1 inch of it and twist so it makes a circle at the top. Then start to pile on your petals. Make sure and use your smallest ones first and then move out towards the larger ones so you have a nice full flower. Mara and I also made leaves and little tags to go on them.

Great kids project with very little mess. You can also use plain construction paper and write sweet words on the petals as well. Live, Laugh, Love etc.

Have Fun and Enjoy!!

Duck Friends

Today Jim stopped by for a visit and as we were standing at the doorway the ducks started to walk up. Typically they hang in the yard but they just kept walking farther and farther up towards us. At one point they were basically standing amongst our feet. I invited them in for lunch but I guess that wasn't good enough for them. They got an old wheat muffin that Mara found for them and ate it happily in the yard. Apparently we have become friends and neighbors now! Quack Quack!!!
