Cake!!

Got these super cute green pedestal cake plates at the school auction.  They are so cute, springy and make baking more fun!

I love pedestal stands and this one was extra fun because of the green color!

Time to bake!!! Im thinking an apple bundt cake with sweet drizzle would look great and taste delicious!!

Eggs!

The girls and I decided to try some new techniques this year with our eggs. Instead of dying them we blew out the centers and decided to hand paint them. Apparently that is what the Easter Bunny does so... why not?? right?? Their creations were awesome, slightly messy but tons of fun!!!

Family Reunion

My aunt, uncle and cousins were visitng from New York so we had a family reunion of sorts. More like and excuse to see everyone, eat really yummy food and take pics.

FPCS All School Vision Auction

Another successful auction under my belt. This time it was for First Pres. Our theme was New York New York: Honoring our heroes of 9/11 and our community. It was fun and a total success! I had local heroes come in and help us display items, carry desserts and up the excitement! The reviews have been awesome and although a ton of work this is the stuff that makes me happy. Someday this will be my full time job. Volunteering my time so that it can benefit others!

Now.. Time for Festival of Trees 2011. I was asked to return as the Gala chair once again. I am honored and thrilled to begin "The Spirit of Giving" for next year.

The Grande Floral Daffodil Parade

This year for the big parade we were blessed with sunshine, which made for some Happy Kids! A big group of us took up the corner of 19th and Pacific to watch all the entertainment pass us by. After the parade the girls were able to go over to the YMCA fun area for face painting, dancing, jumping and photos. It was such a great day full of fun!

Cousins

My cousins from New York are here visiting for a few days so we decided to kidnap Paige for the night to hang out. Mara just loves Paige and thinks she is the coolest teenager she knows! All of us went to dinner, frozen yogurt, hung out and then went to donuts for breakfast! We love it when they come into town and we get to spend time together.

I did however freak out when Paige was talking to me about college. What?? I swear she was just born yesterday and now we are discussing colleges, apartments and the future. I know she will be successful and safe in all her endeavors, it just scares me how quickly time flies and how before I know it I will be having these same conversations with my own daughter.

All I have to say to that is "Carpe Diem"

Maya Papaya

Baby girl Maya and Mac came down to visit for an afternoon. It was so much fun to play, color and snuggle with little Maya. I can hardly believe how big she is and how quickly she is growing up.

Tree Climbing

Mara and I went for a little adventure down at Point Defiance. The trees, dirt and views of the water are so beautiful. Mara climbed up pretty high and then was a little scared coming back down. I told her to run and scream down the dirt hill. Mara didn't believe me that it would be fun but after she did it she was ready to climb right back up and do it again. Yay Mara for being brave and for overcoming obstacles in life that scare you! This will be the first of many but with you sweet heart and brave spirit I know that you will do great things! I love you...

Happy 2nd Birthday Emma!

Last weekend went  up to the Boyds to celebrate Emmas 2nd Birthday! The theme was Minnie Mouse and Sarah really out did her self with the decor, goodies and games. The girls had so much fun celebrating with Emma, who by the way is just to cute for words and I sorta think she knows it! This girl is chatty and really hams it up for the camera.

Goofy

Mara and her Best Friend Lillian decided to dress up crazy. They picked the smallest, most unmatched items they could find and then put on a show. OH and Lillian as you can see was "expecting" during this show. These two are so cute together, goofy as ever and really love each other so much. I am so glad that in our awesome little school Mara has found the best of friends!

Dog Walkers

Last Sunday the girls and I took "Trixie" my mothers furry friend for a walk. The girls think that this is their dog and quite frankly it is the closest they will come to getting a dog so I let them enjoy it every now and then. Trixie is sweet, well behaved and super cute. The girls love on her and she loves on them. Other then being a beggar I really have no complaints. Hoping for sunny days so we can have more walks in the near future!
