Hurricane Mia and Gusty Gracey

Yesterday we had a play date at Mias house. The mommys BBQ'd and sat in the sun while the little ones played and played. The first half of our afternoon the girls swam with the dog and went down the slide. Then they ate some pirate booty and crawled around the yard. After a while they got tired and hot so we took them inside. We took off their swim attire and white diapers was the fashion.

What cute little booties they have.

Mia looked like a hurricane had come thru and landed on the top of her head. It was adorable. It had something to do with the long hair and sunscreen combo. It was a great style on her. I think her mom should consider this a daily fashion!! :)

Gracelyn is more of a silent partner in crime. I think she is more of an observer unless her friend has something she wants. Then we see her true colors!! In fact while they were in the pool Gracelyn took Mia down because she wanted the hose. Goofy Girls!!

All in all they had so much fun and they told us that they want more play dates!! Mia talks really well so I understood eveything she said. It went like this.. "I want a quesadilla and I want to play with Gracelyn more " oh and something about kicking daddys - - -!! Well thats what it sounded like anyway!!

Tim Noah and the Whoopsie, Wobbilie, Woo

Tuesday night was the last music in the park and much to my surprise it was Tim Noah. You may not know who that is but he was huge when I was a kid. In fact when I was a kid he came to St. Pats for a concert and some of his glitter touched me. I don't think I bathed for a week. Hee Hee

Anyways the kids had a blast. We were dancing and singing to the silliest, craziest songs I have ever heard.

Gracie was even shakin it for a bit.!

Building a Big Toy

A few weeks ago we purchased a big toy off of craigslist. Mara and Papa decided it was time to get it up and running. Mara seems to be really handy with the tools. I think she like the hammer the best but the socket wrench was fun too!!

ZUMBA!!!

Saturday I went and got my Zumba certification. I can officially teach this crazy fun new fitness program. Zumba is latin style dancing that is a complete cardio blast which is set to latin hip hop music. I don't know half of what they are saying in the songs but it just doesn't matter.

The master class was taught by Ali who is from Miami. I have never sweat more in my entire life and had so much fun while I was doing it!

Most of the local gyms are offering Zumba classes. I suggest you give it a try. There is no right or wrong way. Just Shake It!!!

Mara and I are going to be attending a parent/child class at the Y. I will send pics after we go!

The pic is from all of us that took the course Saturday.

ZUMBA ON!!!

Lunch with Daddy

On Friday we decided to pack a picnic and go have lunch with Daddy near the airplane park at McChord. Joey came along with us so he could see the planes too!!

Two of the airplanes were open for a dedication ceremony. The kids got to crawl around the inside of a 141. They were fascinated and were trying to get the plane to start. They tried all of the buttons but none of them would get it to start!!

After that we got to go look at all the bomber and fighter planes. The kids were having fun taking pictures in front of them as well as learning about each of the planes. Many of our friends from pilot training went on to fly some of these planes so we were able to tell Mara who flies what plane now. It was very neat!!

And then they escaped

Later in the day Mallory came over to play with Gracelyn. The back door was opened just a crack for the kitty and guess what??? they escaped. They kept looking at us like they weren't doing anything wrong. I think they knew they weren't supposed to escape but we decided to see how far they got.

Well they must be pretty smart because they did it. They got the door opened far enought to get out. Mallory decided to try and hide under my drink bucket while Gracelyn tried to walk away.

Neither of them had much success!!

After that they resorted back to crawling thru the yard. It appears they get places quicker that way!!

Breakfast Time

Today Gracelyn decided that she wanted to be a big girl and eat with a fork. She eye spied it when I gave her sis one and she screamed until I gave her one. At first she was scowling and did not want help but once she figured it out she was as happy as could be.

Mara enjoyed herself as well with her new TV tray. I had one of these when I was a kid and the other day I was at Wal Mart and they were selling them. I couldn't resist and as it goes she thinks it is great too.

Climbing Kids

Gracelyn has decided that she wants to be a climber now. Last night she tried the couch, the guest bed and even the kitchen cupboards. Fortunately she was unsuccessful. Well at least until her sis helped her up on the couch.

Once she scooted off she tried again, got really frusterated and again was unsuccessful. Thank Goodness for me!! I am not ready for all this big girl stuff.

Under the Big Top

Saturday we attended Stellas 6th Birthday party. The theme was carnival.. under the big Top. In order to get into the party you had to stop at the ticket booth.

I was going to be the face painter for the party. I figured I could handle it!!

The party was just amazing. Stellas mom Donna had thought of it all. Each kid had to use tickets to play the games, there was popcorn. peanuts, hot dogs, caramel apples, clowns and face painting.

Stellas mom Donna is just amazing. Everything she does always turn out to be so fun and exciting. What a great friend I have!

All of the kids had a blast! I wonder what she will have up her sleeve for next year??
