One year ago today..

One year ago today at 8:24 a.m. we were pleased to announce the birth of our second baby girl Gracelyn Simone Meisberger. Gracelyn weighed in at 7lbs 10z and was 18 1/2 inches.




and a year later
22lbs and growing like a weed.

Someones turning "1"

Gracelyn Birthday is Tuesday but we had a small family party on Sunday. Meemaw, Papa no toes as well as my mom and some aunts & uncles came over to celebrate.

Gracelyn really liked her new toy Zebra. You can ride on it and it plays lots of music. In fact Gracelyn sat on it for about 40 min.

After that it was time for cake. At first she was unsure but that was all over in a second. Gracelyn devoured the entire cake and enjoyed every minute of it!

Fear was not a Factor!!

Saturday Mara was invited to attend Solomons 6th Birthday party. It was a fear factor theme and boy did the invitation hold true. When we first arrived we were just swimming and having lunch. After everybody had gained there strength from lunch it was time for the challenges!!

The first challenge was to stick your hand inside a bucket that had slimey eyeballs with real live crickets all over them. There were lots of squeels but in the end some of the crickets even became our friends. In fact Mara asked to bring hers home as a pet! EEeek!!

The second challenge was to roll the 2 dice and whatever numbers you got meant you had to eat or drink those items and swallow completely. There were flavors such as pig bile, moldy cheese, maggots etc. Really it was lemon juice, wild rice and blue cheese but.. they didn't know that! Mara did not participate in this challenge!!

The final challenge was to run up the hill, get a dog bone then crawl back down the hill dump it in the bucket and run to the end of the dock to jump off. Then run over to the cat litter box dig out the key and unlock the handcuffs in order for the next kid to go. WHEW!! This one she was totally in to!

After all the challenges were over we did gifts and cake. I think the cake made the entire party. It was kitty litter cake! Complete with box and scooper! The kids freaked out until they realized it was chocolate cake covered in vanilla wafers along with tootsie rolls for the poopie topping!

All the kids were given " I survived Solomons Fear Factor Birthday" t-shirts. How Great!

The kids won't stop talking about this one for a while!

Wednesdays Water Park Adventure

On Wednesday the girls and I went over to McKennas house to try out her new water slide that she got for her birthday. It is sooooo cool! In fact so cool that I couldn't get my kid to come home with me. Mara stayed there for 2 days splashing and playing!

The babies were satisfied with playing toys, taking stuff of the fridge and of course snack time. These girls are a hoot together. There favorite thing to do is chase each other up and down the hall.

Back on the waterslide Mara and McKenna were trying to make a train.

I think the front half left without the back half!!
Oh well still fun!

Goofy Gracie and the sly little cat

Gracie was playing at her sisters pony castle when she was joined by heartley. Gracie was crackiing up at first but then business continued as usual and it was as if she wasn't even there. Gracie put the dolls in and heartley just watched. I think Heartley thinks she is a dog. Very Protective!!

When gracie was done Heartley took her nap in there. What a life!!!

Meisberger family reunion

Well it is the annual Meisberger family reunion. All of Justins east coast family fly out and the guys go up to Alaska and fish for a week. Saturday was at The Meisbergers and Sunday was at our house. David ordered matching fish hats this year for them to wear. It is also required that at the get togethers you wear a hawaiian shirt. If you don't come with one we have an extra waiting!!

Saturday was a crab fest. The crab legs were bigger then my arm. Yummy!!! We also had clams,smoked salmon and halibut!!

Sunday we had a Mexican theme. Fajitas, chips, guacamole, margaritas and a whole lot of beer!!

We tried to get some pics with the Camera timer. Not to shabby eh???

Mara loves Meisberger get togethers because she gets to play with cousin Jack. They have a great time!! Usually it involves his john deer gator. I think as they get older we have trouble on our hands!!

The guys leave Monday and get home Friday so next weekend involves a lot more cooking, eating drinking and the annual fish fry. DELICIOUS!!!!

I think I will be wearing sweats because I usually gain about 5 lbs every time this time of year. Trust me.. It is worth it!! hee hee

Cara and Bens Wedding

On Friday my sister Cara and Ben tied the knot. It was a small intimate wedding that burst into dancing and fun times!! Everyone looked beautiful and I even got to see my Grandpa Parks. Mara danced all night long and could hardly stand by the end of the evening ( actually I couldn't either).

Gracie did a little dancing with her Great Aunties Tina and Lisa. It cracked her up!!

Music in the Park

Every Tuesday night for the past 2 summers we have gone to music in the park over in Gig Harbor down on the water. Last week it was an Elvis impersonator. The park was packed and the girls were dancing all around. Gracie really wanted to get up and dance with her big sis and her friends. Hopefully soon!!
