Happy Birthday Gracelyn "4"

Happy Birthday to my little Gracelyn who has turned four. At 8:24am on July 31, 2006 you were brought into this world. I am thankkful everyday for you. Your quirkiness, your stubborness, your smile, your big blue eyes, your Cindy Brady lisp, your chubby little toes, your hoarding, your shakes, giggles and wiggles. I love you so much and I am so lucky you were chosen to be my daughter and for me to be your momma!

Happy Birthday Gracelyn.. You are such a Goofball!!

Playtime with Maya

The girls and I stopped at Grandma Debbies hosue the other night to visit McKenzies baby girl Maya. The girls and I thought she was the cutest, sweetest little baby ever.

Smurfette

Gracelyn came into the kitchen the other day with a blue marker in her hand and said "Hey momma, I'm Smurfette".. Yup she colored herself blue! Thank goodness for washable markers!

Veggies

Our pea pods presented themselves this week. The girls were so excited to pick and eat them right up! Our garden this year has been really fun for the girls and I to watch, maintain and enjoy!

Dreaming of...

A big farm where my kids can run free and play. Where the sounds of the city are gone and the sounds of crickets and frogs become music to my ears. Where I can grow fresh organic veggies and I can stop at roadside stands for fresh fruits and honey. Where my kids can head out early in the morning to play and not return until lunch because they are too busy building tree forts, picking apples and swinging from the branches. Where I can be at peace and enjoy every second of my kids growing up. The sounds of cries, laughter and the sites of muddy dirty feet and berry stained smiles.

Rub a Dub Dub

Rub a Dub Dub 4 men in a tub.

The kids love my big bath tub and the 4 of them fit in it just great!

Beatniks 2010

Last Tuesday was the annual Beatniks concert at Music in the Park. Jocelyn put our chairs out at noon and the park was already packed. By show time at 6:30 the streets were filled and everyone had a blast!

The Woodfields

Last week my good friends Matt and Kristen that I met in Texas came to visit. They lived right across the street and without Kristen I think I would have lost my mind. I spent nearly everyday with her and her daughter Jordan. Our days consisted of a whole lot of nothing (lazy afternoons, soaps, 1800 and lots of laughs) but in turn it lead to a great friendship. I had not seen them since I traveled with Mara to Florida when I was 5 months pregnant with Gracelyn. Since then they added a little boy(Ryker) to their family. Matt is a F-15 pilot and has just been reassigned to Japan. They stopped in to visit on their way out of town. They will spend the next 3 years living there and I am sure hoping I get to visit them someday. Here are some pics of our time together.

Thanks Woodfield family for a great visit. We wish you the best of luck and I am so grateful for our friendship.

Cupcake Crazy

Gracelyn and I decided to have an afternoon of cupcakes, frosting and fun! We mixed, licked and made a mess. The final product was delicious! Yum

Vacation Bible school

This years theme for VBS was High Seas. Ships, sailors and sea life galore made up the fun. All the girls attended and thought it was the greatest week ever. Nothing melts my heart more then my girls belting out in the car bible songs and versus. They really truly have a love for god in their heart and a great understanding of his presence in our life!

Every year at VBS the kids set out on a mission to raise money for a needy cause. This year it was for medical supplies on the mercy ships. Everyday the kids would bring in their loose change. Some kids did chores to earn their money and others had lemonade stands. The goal was to raise $900 which would buy 30 supply kits. Our wonderful kids raised $1200 and we were able to buy 40 supply kits. Awesome and Amazing! I am so proud of each and every one of these kids for their commitment to life and to God.

Fun on the Sound

The girls and I went boating the other day and my little Gracelyn was a little adventurous dare devil. Gracelyn is an adrenaline junkie by all extremes. While most kids are giving the thumbs down to slow down my little G is giving the thumbs up. These Three Musketeers are the best of buddies and they got their first run of the season in this year!
