Sick Gracie :(

Last night at about 11pm I was awakened by Gracelyn getting very sick and running a temp of about 104 degrees. We got thru the night and headed to the doc today as we were cresting nearly 105 temp to find that she has a urinary tract infection. A cath and a shot of antibiotics in the leg will hopefully get this little cherub feeling a whole lot better.

So much for those New Years plans! This year we are ringing in the new year right here at home with big hopes that 2008 will be happy and healthy!!

From the holidays

Here are some pics of our holiday activities. Mara and I made a gingerbread house, reindeer antlers and pine cone ornaments for all our family and friends this year. We were busy and it was messy but what great memories we made!!

Barney Invasion

It appears that we have reached the age of loving Barney. Gracelyn is completely obsessed and it feels like this big purple dinosaur is ruling my life.

When Gracelyn gets up she asks me to put it on the tv for her. Then we have it in the car, we have toys,slippers and now we have a color book and crayons which she takes with her everywhere. Now keep in mind Gracelyn has a hard time making words but the word BARNEY is clear as day.

Here are a few pics of her enjoying her new Barney items. The coloring is a constant and for some reason this week the bright red tutu has been worn every single day. I think she feels like the big purple dinosaur when she has it on. Shhh don't tell her but she sorta looks like it too!! :)





Here she is with her new rubber boots which have also become a household favorite!!

Santa Mammie

Later in the day my mom came over for brunch and presents. Mara said it was like Santa had come again!

Gracelyn got a stroller with a baby and all the baby accessories. Mara got the digi makeover game, movies, hat and gloves as well as new rubber boots!





Daddy got new shorts and a Seahawks t-shirt and I got a new dress, a mirror for the house and an IOU on a Nintendo Wii. I can hardly wait for that!!

My sister got the girls tubes to crawl thru but I think daddy liked it more then them!



All in all it was a fun relaxing day but I am happy it is over.

Mara passed out on her bedrrom floor and Gracelyn went and got a blanket and fell asleep on my lap. I am sure visions of sugar plums were dancing in their heads! I personally was ready for my long winters nap!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Mornin!

Well it appears that the girls were good this year because Santa arrived. The girls slept in until 8:45 (whoo hoo) and found the candy can path that Santa had left which pointed in the direction of all the Christmas treats.



Mara could hardly contain her excitement with all of the wonderful gifts she received.







Mara went right for the presents but Gracelyn cared more for the candy that was left everywhere. Who knew candy canes would taste so good still in their plastic!






Gracelyn especially liked her sit n spin. Whee.....









After Gracelyn got the sit n spin she decided that was where she was going to open the rest of her gifts!







Gracelyn liked the vibration of the toothbrush in her mouth. Every time she turned it on she would laugh!
The girls were spoiled as usual and I have no where to put all this stuff!

Nutcracker on TV

For all of you that did not get to make it to see Mara in the Nutcracker this year and you would like to. You can turn to Ch 12 and preview it. Here are the times of the performances that it will be on. They chose cast 1 performances this year so you will see her. It is in the second half of the performance. The first group to come out from under the dress is hers!!

Sleepover Saturday

Saturday night Mara had McKenna stay the night and Gracelyn had Mia over. The girls were tearing up the house with their music and toys.

The WNBA is calling

At the Christmas party there is a nice big gym for the kids to run around in and play basketball. Gracelyn and her dad were trying out some moves.

Santa pictures and family party.

Saturday was our annual trip to see the Nordstrom Santa. Every year we choose this day because it coincides with our family Christmas party. If we are putting the dresses on we better make it a double whammie!!



Gracelyn isn't much of a dress fan but I think she knew she looked pretty cute!!
