Macaroni Mess

Well Gracelyn is tasting many new foods these days. Macaroni has become a favorite :)
The best part about it is doing it herself. Gracelyn loves to feed herself and she is really partial to big girl food. Rice cereal and Barley are out.. flavor is in!!!
Although Watermelon and her do not mix. It gave her a horrible diaper burn. We fixed it all with a cozy bath. What could be better then being naked and free!!!

Day at the Races!

Justins squadron had a fundraiser at the race track so we decided to join them for the festivities!! The guys drove the cars and we just cheered from the sidelines :)







Daddy was a really good driver but Gracelyn wasn't to sure about the helmet and the loud vroom vrooms!!!

Laundry Help!

For some reason when I go to do the laundry it seems I have extra help!! Hmm..

Gracelyn thinks it it fun when her sis pushes her around the house in the basket!! All I hear are giggles throughout the house!



Who knew doing laundry could be so fun!!

Daffodil Parade

Well it was time for the annual daffodil parade. This year we went again with the Norris Family. Last year was the first time we had hung out so we decided to celebrate our 1 year of friendship by watching it again.

The girls were greeted by goofy clowns and given balloons. They were working really hard to blow them up! They didn't succeed :( I guess that is what I am around for!!


The parade was full of exciting things and pirates seemed to be the theme. The girls were a little scared when they blew the cannon. What a fun day we had. Mara's favorite part was all of the smiling cheerleaders. I believe she picked up a few new moves that day!!

Spring Fair

Well I guess it is already time for the spring fair again. The girls and I went on one last adventure with cousins paige and connor before they zoomed off back home to New York.

Gracelyn got cozy in the stroller with her new crayon that her sister won her in the ducky game!


Mara's most favorite ride is the tilt a whirl. Fortunately this time around I escaped having to endure twirling and whirling. Paige and Connor took care of it for me. Thank Goodness!! I believe they went on it 4 time!! UGHHH!!!
After that she tried the little roller coaster and topped it off with the slide and the fire truck ride.




After all the rides and games we decided to go do something educational. We went over to the kids area and we learned about insects, played checkers, spun frisbees and even made antennas. Don't they look cute!!

Gracelyn decided she wanted a new hat instead. What a cute one she picked out!!

Zoo time

Today we decided to get out in the sunshine and take my cousins to the zoo. School was in session so I knew it would be calm and pleasant this time. Paige and Connor had not been to the zoo since the remodel so they were pretty excited!!

Many of the animals were out and about but it seemed to be a lazy day! The tiger was lounging as well as the penguins! The only animal that wasn't being lazy was the peacock. The one we ran into was showing off his beautiful feathers. It was amazing!!

The kids, daddy and I all had such a wonderful time. At the end of the day the girls were tuckered out so they were having juice cups and ba bas. I think Mara was pretending it was a ba ba like her sis!! hee hee.. cute!!!!

The Newest Meisberger Member!!

Well I did it.... I finally broke down and got the girls a kitty. I didn't want to do it but Mara begged and after the whole fish dying experience I felt guilty. Fortunately she is cute and I have grown to love her.

So Mara picked the name... "Heartley" If you ask her this is what she will tell you! "Because she was born on Valentines day and her birthday is on Valentines day" Hence the whole heart thing!!

Ms. Heartley is a complete pill and she has turned my life upside down but we love her. Daddy didn't know we were getting a kitty and so when he got home from Germany he was pleasently surprised. I knew it would be fine being that he is a complete cat lover. Guess what.. I was right!!

Gracelyn on the other hand is still trying to figure out what this thing is that is smaller then her but can move. Gracie is trying to get those legs to work. I think she is going to be taking pointers from the kitty soon!!

TGIF

Well thank goodness it was time for the weekend. I needed a little time at home and the girls did as well. Our schedules get pretty hectic Mon thru Thurs so it is nice to chill and be around our house for the weekend.

Friday we had our friends McKenna and Mallory over. McKenna is one of Maras favorite friends. They play everything you can imagine and one of their most favorites is rock band. Mara is always the lead singer and usually the background dancer at the same time. Did you know she is going to be on broadway?? Yup.. that's what she tells me. Who knew that my 5 year old knew what Broadway was!!!

Gracelyn and Mallory did what they do best. Babbling, scooting and drooling. Very eventful!!! ALthough Gracelyn did start babbling Da Da Da Da this week. I never understand why it is not ma ma ma ma first. I do all the work!! :) hee hee

On Saturday Gracelyn and Mara decided to play farm animals. Mara did most of the playing and Gracelyn as you can see did most of the chewing on the horses. Gracie really liked the noises the farm doors made. BAAA.. MOOOO and CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK!! After farm animals Gracelyn had to get cleaned up and dressed. As you can see she plainly prefers to be naked!

After our morning we went to visit my aunt and cousins that are here from New York. I have not seen them in a really long time and now they are all grown up. WEIRD!!! I am having this strong feeling that I am getting OLD!!!They spoke to me like they were adults not the little rascals I used to babysitt!! UGHHH.. REALITY!!!

The girls really enjoyed Paige, Connor and my aunt Nicole. We hope to see them lots more before they head home. In addition to seeing them we got to visit with meemaw and cousin Ashley. Don't they all look so cute!!
