Vacation Finale

The last day in California was a relaxation day. I think after a week at Disney you need a vacation from your vacation. Sooooo... we decided to lay in the sun. The day was beautiful and we took advantage of it. Gracelyn floated in her boat and Mara swam around for hours like a little fish.

After all the swimming Gracelyn crashed! ZZZzzzzzzz (check out the thighs! Only time that will ever be cute in a bathing suit!! hee hee)

Goodbye Disney we will see ya really soon :)

Dizzyland Take 2

Well our last adventure was to California Adventure. There we were able to see a lot of the shows. Mara cheered at the Highschool Musical Pep Rally. Her and I learned how to do the "wildcats" dance. What Fun!!!

We also got to see the Aladdin play, playhouse disney play as well as meet many of the pixar characters.

We went over to Bugs life and they had pop up water. Mara enjoyed running thru it and tried to dodge it. As you can see it got her and she was a bit cold. Brrrrr
After that Mammie and Mara rode the Bugs Life Ride. It was similiar to the tea cups so I decided to sit this one out.

That night we enjoyed the famous Disney Electric Parade. It was beautiful. Gracelyn loved the lights.

DIZZYLAND ..take 1

Today was all about meeting the characters and getting their autographs. We woke up early and got to go to a character breakfast in the park. It was a yummy breakfast and the best part was that the characters walk around and then sit with you at your table. You get the best pics. Mara loved it...

Oh yeah... and mara got her face painted like a princess and her hair braided like one :)





But Gracelyn wasn't so sure!!







Both the girls got Mickey ears and boy were they cute! Gracelyn got her first ears hat and Mara got the pirate princess ears. How adorable are they??
Mara also decided to test out her strength in toon town. It was just to HEAVY!!

Ride Time

The rides are of course the much anticipated part of Disneyland. Mara loved almost all of them but for some reason prefers the whirly twirly ones. Mom and Mammie don't like those so much!

Mara's most favorite ride was the Pirates of the Carribean. I think she went on it 4 times. Gracelyn got to go on almost all the rides as well except for the big ones. I think I am going to have a dare devil on my hands. The squeals were heard throughout the park from these two :)

My little Princesses

So our first day ay Disneyland was a complete whirlwind. Mara got a princess Jasmine costume and we visited all the beautiful princesses. Gracelyn liked them because they had real faces. We went to the princess faire and saw a coronation ceremony. Mara danced with the princesses with the may day polls and learned how to curtsey like a princess.

The girls had a blast! Maybe they both picked up some of those graceful princess manners. We can only hope!!

Gracelyns First Airplane Ride!

Today was Gracelyns first airplane ride to Disneyland. At first she was unsure but once she got settled in she was just fine.

As you can see both girls passed out which made for a very nice flight for mommy and mammie!

Mothers Tea

Today was Mothers Tea at school. This is a special day when all the mommys come to school and the children sing and give us little reminders of how much they love and appreciate us. It is one of my most favorite days of the year!! The children make us wreaths to wear, grow us plants, paint bricks for our yard and create a special book that tells us what was on their mind the moment their teacher asked them a question.

Mine read as follows..
What is your favorite thing to so with mommy? Mara said.. go to the beach on a sunny day!
What is you favorite thing mom cooks you? Mara said... Basgetti!
When does your mom look the prettiest? Mara said.. In the picture where mommy and daddy were all dressed up fancy and they were teenagers! (hmmm prom 94??)
Finally why do you love you mommy? Mara said.. Because she loves me and I love her!
