Saturday was the squadrons holiday party. It was great to see everyone Justin works with as well as their spouses and kids. Everyone ate, drank, exchanged white elephant gifts and then had a date with Santa and Mrs Claus. The kids thought it was just great! They sang songs, read a christmas story, gave their Christmas wishes and then each one was given a present to open!! What fun!!
Mara received Blendy markers and Gracelyn got a musical animal book.
I got to mingle with my best bud Jolee. Having her around makes functions like these so fun to go to!!
This pics the girls were just being silly with their santa hats!
Saturday was Maras soccer banquet. The team celebrated at Round Table Pizza with their coaches. They made certificates for them and also brought a yummy cupcake cake. The team started off with two girls but in the end Mara was the last one standing.
Whats a girls to do with so many boys????
Coach Scott and Coach David are both highschool students who play for Curtis and volunteer their extra time to share their talent with these kids.
WHen Justin and I got home from Hawaii we gave the girls their gifts. Both of them got grass skirts, leis and flowers for their hair. They were shakin their little booties.
Gracelyn thought it was just hilarious. Look at her cheesy smile!!
Mara particularly enjoyed the boobie bra!! It doesn't really cover that much!! I taught Mara some of the moves I learned!! It lasted for a while but in the end she was teaching me!!
The Wedding was on Monday the 26th. Sarah and I spent the day at the spa getting ready for the wedding. It was wonderful!!
Sarah was a beautiful bride and the wedding was just magical. They wrote their own vows which were so heartfelt and of course the setting completely sealed the deal!!
Justin and I got to escape to Maui for a little relaxation. The reason we made the trip was for Sarah and Arts wedding but it worked out for us that it fell during our Anniversary. It was so great to have been able to have celebrated our 7 years of mariage in such a beautiful place. Justin and I have been to Oahu but this didn't compare.
It was hard to leave the girls but we were informed that they were fine and actually loved the spoiling they were receiving back home from mammies cousins and aunties!!
The first few days prior to the wedding we just spent time relaxing, going for walks, taking pics and enjoying each others company without interruption!!
I am convinced that this was the first time since Gracelyn was born that I got a full nights sleep!! It was Heaven!!
Sorry it's been a while but we have been busy busy. Here are some pics of our Turkey Day. Mara and Daddy made the yummiest turkey ever!! After that we were off to Maui for Sarah wedding.
