Watch Day

Today was watch day at ballet. This only comes along every 3 months so I get really excited when it does.

It was amazing to see how much Mara has grown in her classical studies. Many of the dance questions Ms. Danielle asked about Mara knew the answer.

It also appears that she has almost mastered the splits. OUCH!!!

A trip to the Conservatory

Thursday afternoon the kids and I along with the Tracey and Joey went over to the Wright Park Conservatory after school. Mara and Joey have made up their own name for it and they call it the "floratorium". I guess because it is full of fresh beautiful flowers. This day was especially great because the hyacinth is in full bloom. My does it smell great!!

Gracelyn loved all the flowers and found it hard to not want to pick the pretty flowers a part. The most fascinating part of it all was the fish. The water was clear and their colors were so bright. It seems there were many more compared to the last time we were there.

I highly reccomend going here. They change it out every few weeks and there is always something beautiful to see!

Beauty Queen

Gracelyn found my moms mascara container the other day and decided to make herself "pretty". Apparently we have a lot of work ahead of us. I must say I was pleased that it at least made it to her face and not into her mouth.

After we got the makeup off she was just happy in her uncle jujus sneakers. I hope we aren't going to be having an identity crisis! :) hee hee

Go Beavers

Mara had her first basketball game last Saturday and boy was it fun. I am not sure if the ball ever got dribbled!! Mara scored 2 hoops and thought it was great. It is so cute to see the kids at this age running all around and trying to figure out exactly what to do. Fortunately they play on the 6 ft hoops so they actually have a chance. I am so excited for the Saturdays to come. If you want to catch a game they are Saturdays at 9am Pearl Street YMCA. Look for the bright orange jerseys.

Mara is #9 MEISBERGER

Go Beavers or as toothless Mara would say "Go Veavers".

Ted Brown Field Trip

This week was a big week for Mara. After trying out the public school system we decided it was best if we put Mara back in private school. The kicker was that she would be the only girl amongst 6 boys. At first it seemed weird but now she is settled and just loving it!

Friday they got to go to Ted Brown Music and try out all of the instruments.

The children got to play them, learn about the different types and we even got to got to go to the room where they clean and repair them.

It was a great field trip and they all had so much fun!

Sisterly Love

The girls were just being so cute Thursday night when they were all cuddled up together on the couch. It is so great having girls!! They were so giggly yet so loving.

These last 2 pics Mara took. Not so bad!!

No Daddy Go Bye Bye

Justin had to leave last week for a mission to Hawaii. Gracelyn was making it very clear that she did not want him to go. Actually I think she was trying to go with him. Gracie does not talk much but she was really clear when she said "No Dadda".

After she climbed out of the bag she stole his flip flops and tried them out for a while. As you can see she did not get far!
