Birthday Brownies for Alayna

On Wednesday night we were celebrating Alaynas Birthday so we decided to make her delicious brownies. The girls just couldn't help themselves from licking the bowl after we mixed it all together. I know we all worry about salmonella but hey we all did it as kids right?? Sometimes even as adults! You know who you are....






I surely did and I turned out fine. It is just more fun then anything. Gracelyn just loved it!! Num Nums were her exact words.

Orchestra in the Living Room

On Tuesday Mara's class got to go to the Pantages Theater for a performance of Orchestra in the Living room. The children got to experience different musical instruments and talents.





I think the most exciting part was the ride on the school bus!

Play time

Mara and Gracie have been playing so well together lately. The other night they got out all the farm animals and were making the noises.


Gracelyn could hardly contain herself over the chicken which she thinks is a duck. All I heard repeatedly was "quack quack".

Giddy Up Mammie

Lately when one of the girls gets on Mammies lap the other one has to follow. Since they both love "Giddy Up" that is what mammie did with them. At the end they say "Whoa Gracie"..."Whoa Mara"..

Both the girls think it is so fun! My mom on the other hand can barely walk for days after the two of them go for a ride!! :)

A trip to the zoo

Earlier this week we all got to take a quick morning break and sneek out to the zoo in the early morning. The air was crisp but the skies were beautifully clear.
Today we decided to let Gracelyn walk and boy did we pay for it later! I think she too the longest nap ever that day :)

The first stop was the sharks and the aquariums. The girls were fascinated with the big fish. Mara wanted to know the names of them all and Gracelyn just said F-I-S-H-Y over and over again.





The elephants were out and enjoying the sun!!
Then it was off to see the monkeys. As you can see mine were trying to act like monkeys themselves.

Date Night

Sunday night we finally after months and months got to go out and hang out with Jason and Melissa. This used to be a regular occurence but I swear it has been years. The plan was dinner at Masa and a movie but after hours of eating, drinking and tons of laughter we shut down the place on a Sunday night. Granted it still was only 10 pm but it felt like 2 am. Once again no movie but who cares!!! Catching up was so worth it. Wow when you really talk about all the things we did when we were younger it's a wonder we are all still standing!

Oranges Take 2

Of course she has to do everything her sister does. Finally after about 3 days Gracelyn figured out how to get the orange to stay in like her sis.
