One of a kind

Yesterday Gracelyn insisted on wearing her surfer swim suit, sneakers and her new ladybug hat that auntie Lisa gave her. What a combo!!!

We were on our way out when she snuck a sucker out of her sis's loot bag. Gracelyn had taken it, opened it and started to eat it before we realized what was going on. This picture is of her very happy in the carseat before I took it away. It appears by this face that she has gotten away with something. Little did she know I was right on her tail.

This girl is truly "one of a kind".

Congrats Auntie Jennie!!

Justins sister graduated from Law School yesterday in Oregon. Unfortunately we were not able to go but we still wanted to send her our congratulations.

Great job on getting one step closer to reaching your dreams. You have worked so hard over the past 3 years to get to this point. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see you in action. Good luck on the rest of the bar exam and we love you so much!!

Now it is time for you to lay back and relax a bit!!

Stopping to smell the flowers!

The girls and I had some time to kill before school so we went to the wright park conservatory again. This is becoming a regular occurence on our list of favorite places to go. The flowers are always different and so beautiful but the biggest draw is getting to feed the fishies.



This time the flowers smelled so good that the girls were sniffing almost every single one of them. I am so thankful my girls have an appreciation for these beautiful items God put on this earth.


Everything in the world is always moving so quickly that I think we all need to take a little more time to stop and smell the flowers!

Pretty Pretty Princess

The girls have been playing the board game pretty pretty princess almost every night. Gracelyn just likes to dress up in the jewelry and pretend to play. I thought they were so cute dressed up in their princess attire.

Do you think they are related? I sure do!! I think she is a little clone of her father and this picture says it all.

Oh what a day!

This morning I was woken up to Mara holding a tray of food under my nose as I was still trying to snooze. I was told to "Wake Up" and that it was time to start my day. In my head I was thinking "but this is my day and I want to sleep in"! but how can you resist your little one's special surprise? Once I rubbed my eyes and looked at this gourmet breakfast in front of me I had to chuckle a little. I was given a bottle of water, a bag of almonds, a yogurt and a cup of my body balance. Then I quickly realized that Justin was still sleeping next to me and Mara had done this all by herself. How cute was she to pick out all my favorites before I was even up for the day! My goodness I love her!

The girls both colored beautiful cards for me. They also gave me my new purple shirt that I wore today. What good taste they have!


After that Justin's folks and my mom came over for a yummy brunch. Ted did the cooking while Mara, auntie Jennie and Nana played pretty pretty princess.

I am so lucky to be able to be a part of this wonderful day! Thanks to my hubby for giving me the best presents in the whole wide world and thanks to my mom for teaching me how to be a great mom. Your example of unconditional love is always so admirable. I love you so much!!!
