SURPRISE.. VEGAS

Tuesday afternoon Justin called me up and said pack your bags we are going to Vegas. Um... OK.. Don't twist my arm!!

Justin had to fly down for work to pick up Thunderbird support so he thought why the heck not bring my wife. We grabbed a ticket and off I went to the land where nobody sleeps.

Justin and I are not big gamblers by any means but we love to people watch, look at the lights, watch the water shows, eat, drink and shop. All of which we accomplished in the short time we were there.

It was an amazing quick trip and I am so thankful to have a hubby who loves me so much!!

Thanks Justy. It was a blast!!!!

Treasure Island was our hotel and this was part of their boat water show!

Foreshadowing of the Future

Justins mom ran across this old photo of Justin from 1982. Although it is not the C-17 it is the C-5 which is just as big. Who would have known that this little tykes dreams finally came true 23 years later.

Pictures like this make me so proud of Justin and all that he has accomplished!!

Sol's Seven

Sunday evening was Solomons 7th birthday party at the Tacoma Firs Golf Center. There were just a few kids but they sure had a great time. Thanks Sol for another great party!!

Art on the Ave

Sunday was the annual art on the ave. A good portion of 6th ave gets blocked off and it is much like a farmers market. This year being that we have moved the shop we were smack dab in the middle of it. The Wedding Bell had live models in the windows doing mannequin poses and Mara and MacKenzie showed off the new flower girls dresses. What little cuties they were and boy did they draw the crowds!!

Escape to Vashon.. Just me and the girls

Today I decided that the girls and I were going to head out and explore. You would be amazed to know that in my 31 years of life I have never been over to Vashon Island. It is a short sweet escape away from the everyday grind. I just wanted to spend all my time playing with my kiddos and discovering new things and that is exactly what we did!!

Neither of the girls had been on a ferry before so this was a first for both. They thought it was great being able to see the water so closely and really get a close up of all the boats.

Our day began with a stop at the neighborhood playground. The monkeys ran around for about an hour on all the great toys. Mara was excited because they had a really big slide! Then it was off to the Alpaca farm. These are the oddest looking animals but oh so interesting. Then we stopped at a local nursery to smell the flowers and discover new ones. At that point we were ready for lunch so we headed to the local cafe. The girls recharged and then we were off again. After a bit of getting lost and driving repeatedly in circles we finally made it to the beach. Then we just relaxed, built sand castles and collected evry shell within a 1/2 mile radius.

Thanks girls for such a fun day. The time I get with you really does my heart good. I love you to the Moon!!

Peyton Rachel has arrived!!

Renee and Ryan were blessed this afternoon with the arrival of their little girl, Peyton Rachel. This little bundle was as round as a ball and looks just like her Daddy. I got to enjoy a quick snug with her before the troops started to arive.

Welcome little Peyton you are as cute as can be!!

Elvis in the Park

This weeks music in the park featured Danny Vernon as Elvis. This guy is great and puts on a very entertaining show. Uh huh Uh huh!! This week we were lucky to have had many of our friends come and share in the excitement. Debbie came out with Declan and Elle and Jennifer came out with MacKenzie and Zachary. My mom came out with us and Jocelyn came out with her entire family. All of us packed a picnic and enjoyed the summer sounds on the water. It was a beautiful evening!!

Gracie really enjoyed her yummy watermelon!!

anf Mallory could not get enough of her Pappa!!

Debbies kids were hilarious!! Declan and Elle were attacking their mom every second they could and then would come up for air to shake their booties for a second!!
