Retired...

Saturday was Papa Teds retirement party. Finally after 40 years of flying he has hung up his wings. Many good friends, co workers and family showed up to celebrate this joyous occasion. Ted flew his entire career for 3 different places. The Army jump started it all as he learned to fly and served in the Vietnam war. After that he flew for ERA in Alaska where he met many amazing people and witnessed amazing scenery day in and day out. To finalize his career he made work closer to home and began flying for Airlift Northwest. There he helped save many lives and witnessed things that I am sure were unbelievable. I know he is going to miss flying terribly because for some reason it is in the blood of these boys. Fortunately for Ted I have a "Honey Do" list that will keep him busy for a long while. Nana says to wait in line!! hee hee

The helicopter on the cake was made by David. Great work!!

The Meisberger Men

This week the east coast uncles came to visit. Every year around this time they come out for one week of fishing, drinking and a whole lotta eating. Ron and Rick are Papa Teds brothers and they are just so wonderful. The girls can't get enough of them(especially Ron because he brings presents every year). Auntie Maureen (Rons wife) picks out the cutest designer items for the kiddos and he delivers them as if he is Santa. Fun!!!

Friday night was the annual Fish Fry. It consists of beer battered deep fried fish, hush puppies and tequila shots. Eeek......

To top the week off we of course had cake again for Gracelyns birthday. Jack thought it was funny to feed it to her. What goofballs!!!

Family Vacation 2008

Last Sunday we took off to Crescent Bar for a week of family fun. Justin was given the week off so we took advantage of it and got a condo. The week involved relaxing, playing, swimming, games and a little boating. Our friends Jolee and Kurt came over halfway thru with their son Colton to play with us. Mara and Gracie loved the boat rides and they both went tubing. I tried skim boarding which you can tell from the pics I was unsuccessful at. Hey.. It was fun!!! This was the year that swimming clicked for Mara and she became a "fish". I remember this from when I was a kid as well. Family vacations = non stop swimming.
The days were filled with laughter and fun while our evenings were for looking up at the stars in the night sky. It's amazing how beautiful it all is when you actually stop and look.
On the 31st we celebrated Gracelyns Birthday again with some cake and presents. After this year she is going to think Birthdays last for a whole week.
The pictures speak for themselves. The week was amazing and as we were driving home Friday afternoon and the rain began to pour on this side of the mountains we wanted to turn that car around and go back!!
Thanks family for a wonderful vacation. Can't wait to go back next year!!!

Happy to you Gracelyn!!

Sunday afternoon we had a quick family birthday party for Gracelyn. The actual day was the 31st but we were heading out for family vacation that day so we did it early. Gracelyn loved it when we sang to her and she got a little embarassed. Then she decided to eat her cupcake with no hands....Presents were so fun and she loved everything she got!!

Tiffany & Co.

Last Saturday I coordinated a wedding for Ashley and Jake. Their new last name is Tiffany so so entire wedding was surrounded with the Tiffany & Co. theme and that pretty blue box.

It was just beautiful and they looked so happy. Here is a peek at what things looked like. The reception was at the Wa State History Museum.
