Look what a big girl Scarlett is turning into. I was sick for the past 2 weeks so I haven't been able to munch those chubby cheeks!

Morning Walks

Since Mara started back at school Gracelyn and I are back to our morning walk routine. Typically we meet my girlfriend Melissa and walk the entire waterfront. I always get there early because usually Melissa is still dropping off her munchkins at school. Usually Gracelyn and I go out to the dock to look at the water and to find cool things.

Gracelyn is so sweet during the early morning and has such an appreciation for nature in general. The water, birds, ducks, geese, seaweed, sand, rocks, bird poop and fishies bring so much excitement to her world. Watching her grow and learn is one of the best parts of my day!

Fashion Show ..Seattle

Ok so I am a little behind. I had a very loooong busy week. Here is a recap..

Mara had the Seattle Bridal Expo show. Here a few pics from this year. Boy is she growing up and changing. I was looking at last years pictures and you can see her transforming into such a little lady. Again, somebody please advise me where that freeze button is again. I need to delay this growing up thing.

Old Spaghetti Factory

Friday night Mara got to pick where she wanted to go for her birthday and I told her she could invite a friend. Of course she picked MacKenzie and the restaurant was The Old Spaghetti Factory. Justin and I never eat out so it had been years since we had gone there.

The girls really enjoyed it and the spaghetti all over their faces should say it all. The staff sang Happy Birthday to Mara and we all got to enjoy a scoop of spumoni ice cream.

It was a fun family evening out.

Classroom cupcakes

Friday afternoon I got to go work in the classroom and bring cupcakes for Maras birthday. The kids really enjoyed them including Gracelyn. Something is telling me that she would rather be staying at school each day rather then hanging out with me(note that she already found the vacant desk).

Mara got to pick a prize from the birthday box. It was such a fun afternoon getting to know all these new little faces.

The 1st Grade

Read this: Um hello.. I of course have a camera.. I never leave home without it!

Mara started first grade today (hold on let me wipe the tears away). Let's just say that she loved it and can't wait to go back tomorrow but I on the other hand hate it. I love that she loves it but I hate that she is away all day now. My little baby girl is growing up so stinkin fast. I watched the clock all day till it was time to go get her. Is there a way to stop time so they will stop growing up so fast?? If you figure it out please let me know!!





Mrs. Leach is her teacher and this year she has a great mix of girls and boys. It looks like it is going to be just a wonderful school year.


Gracelyn really wanted to stay at school too!!
