Toy Box

Why play with the toys in the box when you can play in the box??

For some reason this week this has been her favorite spot...

Ballet

Tuesday was watch day for ballet and these days only come along every three months so I was front and center. Mara has moved up a level and you could tell during the instruction. Every year it gets a little more strict. I just love that she is getting trained in a classical ballet environment. Sitting in the room with the old wood floors, the same photos on the walls that were there when I was young and the sound of the piano really turns back the hands of time for me. We hope you all will be able to come and see her this year in the Nutcracker...

Dates and times to follow!

Iron Chef

Sunday evening for Justin Birthday celebration we went to South Hill to a new restaurant called the Iron Chef. This is the type of place where they cook the food in front of you. The food was great, the entertainment was great but most of all our company was wonderful. Thanks guys for making Justins Birthday such a special one!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband. You are the best husband, daddy, brother and friend we could ask for. The girls and I appreciate you so much and we hope you have the happiest, bestest, laziest day ever. It has been a pleasure knowing you for the past fifteen years and watching you transform from a boy to a man. Can't wait for fifteen more...

Love you to the moon and Back..

The Dukes of Hazard

Justin and I were invited to a Halloween party Saturday night. It was Bo Duke and Daisy Duke this year! The costumes were hysterical! Emmie painted herself completely blue and was smurfette?? There was a mammogram machine and a patient with it's butt hanging out!!

Justin and I had a great time and are still laughing today about it!!

Dracula

Saturday afternoon I took Mara to the ballet Dracula. It was just beautiful and Mara loved every second of it. Afterwards we got to go back and see Ms. Danielle and also get a picture with John Paul who was Dracula.

Pumpkin Carving

Every year Papa comes over to carve with the girls and then we roast the seeds. I only got a few pics before my camera died. Nana got more but here are the few I got. Gracelyn thought the pumpkin goo was great. I can't stand it but she just loved it and was flinging it around like crazy...
