Spring Snow

On Friday morning I had just gotten off the plane from 85 degree weather in Las Vegas and was greeted with this cold wet snow. Only in Washington do we bloom daffodils and have snow all in the same week.

The girls did not care at all. They took this one last opportunity (hopefully) to play in this white stuff.

Gracie will wait at the back door until I let her out to play. All morning she was yelling S-N-O-W!!!!!!

The girls were running back and forth trying to catch the snowflakes.

Then GRacie fell down and snow time was all done!

These two had chili little hands and feet. Time for some hot cocoa and a movie!!

Let it Snow

The girls were so excited today when they realized it had snowed and was still snowing. Gracelyn in her mumbled speech kept standing at the back door yellin "NOOOO" which in her world was "SNOW". I bundled them up and let the adventures begin.

We tried Snow Angels which Mara was great at! Gracie didn't think they were that fun!

Kelly these pics of the trees are for you. I was testing out my photography skills and I thought they looked so serene and calm.

Heartley was very unsure about the snow. It was a love hate thing with her.

Gracie just figured why not give it a try. I think the word out of her mouth were "mmm yum yums". If she only knew!!

Mara and I built a snowman. Small but cute!

Gracie decided it was time to really play. It is apparent that she was more then determined to get up there. Then low and behold she did it!

It made for a wet bottom but she didn't care.

Then it was off to the front for some good old fashion sledding. The girls enjoyed it and then Mara wanted to give it a whirl. Gracie got a little more then she bargained for. Check out the speed Mara got going with the sled. Gracie was screaming "WHEE". What an exhausting few hours we had. Gracie slept for 3 hours. Yipee!!
