Bridal Expo
Last weekend Mara got to model dresses for the Tacoma Wedding Expo. Austin and Lindsey got to be in it as well. What little sweeties they were.

Bop to the Top
Last Friday was Maras 6th Birthday Bash. The theme was highschool musical and boy was it crazy!! There were about 30 kids that attended along with their parents. The kids played wastebasket basketball, did a pinata, got tattoos, faces painted as well as playing in the bounce house.
The presents were wonderful and everyone really enjoyed their cupcakes. Especially Gracelyn. YUM!!!

Kindergarten
Wednesday Sept 5th was Maras 6th Birthday and her first day of Kindergarten. Here are some pics of the eventful morning.

Big Day for Mommy
Today my baby girl turned six and started Kindergarten. One is hard enough but 2 big events.. not fair!!
Mara woke up nervous but couldn't have been nearly as nervous as I was. I kept my cool and acted as if it was all going to be great even though I was freaking out on the inside.
I took about a million pictures which I will post tomorrow and by the time we got to the classroom Mara was totally annoyed with me and wondered when I was leaving. Huh?? What?? I am the cool mom right?? Isn't she always going to want me around?? This can't be happening!!
So I left and was cool. When it was time to pick her up I thought she would be so excited to see me. Nope.. she pretty much wanted to know why she didn't get to ride the school bus and why did her mom have to drop her off and pick her up everyday ??? Huh??
So to conclude this tid bit of mine. Mara is growing up so fast and is changing into such a little lady right before my eyes. Cherish every single moment you have with your little ones because before you know it they will be grown and gone.
Oh and by the way.. tonight Mara informed me that in 10 years she would be driving!! WHAT??? I didn't even know she could do Math and figure that out or even knew you had to be 16 to drive!

Birthday Party Part 1
Wednesday the fifth is Maras 6th Birthday but we had the family party on Monday. By the time all of this is over I am pretty sure there will have been 3 parties. Geez!! Maras big friend party is next Friday and it's going to be a doozy!!
Maras theme for this year was Highschool Musical. Can you say OBSESSED!! Troy and Gabriella.. I love Troy.. Bop to the Top... Go Wildcats!.... Get your head in the game!! Daily phrases around my house :)
We made a special cake with all the decorations she wanted on it as well as putting up multiple decorations around the house.
Mara loved all her special gifts and was so happy to get to share such a special day with Great Auntie Diane. It was her 93rd Birthday too!! WOW!! Looks pretty good huh?? I think so.

New Toys
Last weekend we got some new backyard toys for the kids. Cousin Jack came over to try them out. We colored at the picnic table, slid down the slide and played in the new house. What fun!!
Gracelyn really likes the house and every morning she goes to the back door to try and get out to go play. All the play food is in there and I am always wondering what she is cooking up???

Here Fishy Fishy
Friday evening Mara got to go fishing with Daddy and Papa. This was her first big fishing adventure and she was ready to go. Cousin Jack had gone the week before and caught a big one so now she wanted to try.
Daddy even let her drive the boat for a bit
After that the poles were in. Papa taught Mara what to do with all the equipment and also what you do when you fish.
You sit and wait.. and wait.... and wait
until...
you catch one.
Well ok I guess it was the bait but you can't say she didn't try.
No Fish. Better luck next time!!
