The 1st Grade

Read this: Um hello.. I of course have a camera.. I never leave home without it!

Mara started first grade today (hold on let me wipe the tears away). Let's just say that she loved it and can't wait to go back tomorrow but I on the other hand hate it. I love that she loves it but I hate that she is away all day now. My little baby girl is growing up so stinkin fast. I watched the clock all day till it was time to go get her. Is there a way to stop time so they will stop growing up so fast?? If you figure it out please let me know!!





Mrs. Leach is her teacher and this year she has a great mix of girls and boys. It looks like it is going to be just a wonderful school year.


Gracelyn really wanted to stay at school too!!

Happy #95 Auntie

Aunt Diane turned 95 on Tuesday so we celebrated with a BBQ. I was able to capture some great photos of her with the girls and Scarlett. Can you believe that she is their great great great aunt. Whew.. that's a whole lot of great.

Auntie still had enough wind in those sails to blow her candle out.

Family Day at the Beach

Sunday morning we packed up and headed out to Uncle Dave and Aunt Jen's beach cabin for the day. The girls had a great time with everyone. It turned out to be a beautiful day which we were so thankful for. The kids collected shells, played on the beach, found crabs and then we ate a yummy meal prepared by Papa Ted.

I unfortunately have an icky cold so I wasn't feeling the greatest but nonetheless it was a wonderful day full of family memories!!

Mara turns 7 on Friday so we had a small birthday celebration for her with chocolate pie.. Yumm!! We all had a funny face to express the yumminess!!





Uncle Dave took Mara for a Kayak ride!! She loved it!!

And daddy found this crab shell that the girls were fascinated with!!

Just another Sunday morning...

Sunday morning is a pretty relaxing time in our household. Justin and I get up, have our coffee and read the paper. The girls usually watch cartoons and play around. Today Gracelyn decided that she wanted to spend the morning in her baby stroller with no diaper on (a common occurence recently) and was insistent that her daddy push her around. For a moment she stopped because she was very curious as to what was down her daddys shirt. Look at that little stinker smile on her...





After that it was back to reading the paper and coffee. I guess the girls were also interested in the daily news. How cute!!

Showering Lulu

Saturday was Lauras bridal shower and boy was it fun! The big day is set for October 11th so Saturday was the shower that the bridesmaids were throwing. There was yummy food, fun games, tasty margaritas, great gifts, laughter, and of course wonderful friends. The afternoon was so much fun and I know Laura feels so blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life. I sure know that I do! I can hardly wait for the big day!!

Here are the ya ya's...

Park Play Date

Friday morning a few of my highschool girlfriends and I met at the Fircrest park to play. It was so fun seeing all our munchkins running around and playing together. Gracelyn was full of comedy this day climbing the big kid climber and telling me that she had to poop even though she had a diaper on. I told her this was unfortunately the one time she needed to go in her pants!! Gracelyn and Mia of course love each other and play so nicely. The girls were also trying to kiss Mikey. Who wouldn't want those slimey 2 year old lips all over their face???

All in all it was a fun filled morning of laughter, playing and making memories.
