Wednesday water safety

Well today was another busy day. Actually I can't really remember a day that wasn't busy. I guess that is what 2 kids does to ya!! oh WELL.. iT IS WORTH IT :)
The day consisted of school and the Y as usual. Today at the Y was water safety day. The kids put on life jackets, they put them into a boat and then treat it like there is an emergency. The kids have to climb out and then call for help while they are floating in the water. After all the hard work is done the teachers put them into the boat and make it float across the water quickly. Mara loves it and always wants the teachers to make it go faster!!!

During swimming Gracelyn really justs enjoys watching her big sis swim. Many times she squeals when she is jumping in. It is so cute how they love each other.

After swim was gymnastics class. Gracelyn got to hang out with her girlfriend Mallory on the big kid mats today while we waited for Mara. I am pretty sure she is perfecting her crawling stance. SCARY!! Her one tooth is all the way down and it is a big one!!! apparently she doesn't need any others! One tooth will be just fine :)

Gracelyn makes the funniest face when she is excited. I just thought I would share this pic of her in her new big girl car seat. I think she really likes it!! Do you????

Until next time...

Monday madness

Mondays are always crazy in our household. Mommy works, Mara has school, swimming and ballet and Gracelyn goes to Mammies house.
Today Mara got to bring home Mr. Wrinkles from school. He follows you around throughout the day and then you write about his adventures in the classroom journal. As you can see Mr. Wrinkles had a very busy day!!

Gracelyn had fun with her friend Mallory at the bakery next to the ballet school. After chowing down an oat muffin she decided she wanted to sit with her friend and play.

Mondays are exhausting and they leave me longing for Fridays!!

Hippity, Hoppity Easter is Here!

Happy Easter..

Today we started the morning off with Mara jumping on us at 6 am to let us know that the Easter bunny had come to our house. Can you believe it??

In her basket she got gardening tools, gloves, happy feet the movie, a drawing pad, candy and fruit snacks. Gracelyn got a bib, a new rattle and teething cookies. You would not have known it because she only wanted to chew on her sis's fruit snack packs!

After that it was off to church and then home for a family brunch. Gracelyn decided today was the day to sing at the top of her lungs during church. It was cute and nobody really minded. They all thought it was a glorious day for her to find her voice!!

The entire family came over for brunch and an egg hunt. My two girls are the only kids in the family so it was great fun watching them get "all" the eggs! Gracelyn found a couple but was more concerned with chewing on it. Mara filled her basket and was just as happy as could be.

Great Great Great Auntie Diane came too(seriously 3 greats). Gracelyn and Mara love playing with her. She may be old but she still loves to Garden and play with the girls. Gracelyn is happy with whoever as long as somebody is paying attention to her. Although in the picture with her uncle Juju she is more concerned with trying to open her egg!

Well it was an exhausting day but oh so fun. Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Spring, Sunshine and the Zoo!!

Well we decided to take advantage of the beautiful sunshine but unfortunately so did the rest of Tacoma. The zoo was crazy packed. I forgot it was spring break and good friday. Everyone who was anyone was there!!

Mara invited her good friend Mikey to come along. I think she has a little crush on him :) We also met her friends Joelle, Stella, Caroline and Ryan. Gracelyn invited her friend Mia but they were more concerned with eating the buckles on their strollers then seeing the animals!! Although it was busy it was warm, beautiful and so much fun!

Late that night Mara wanted to help feed her little sis. What a good big sister she is! Gracelyn loves it and mara feels like a little mommy every time she gets to help!

Swimmin and Sun

Mara had her Post-Op appointment from her head surgery and was given the OK to resume activities. It began with swimming and continued on to froggie findings. There is a creek near our house so there are frogs everywhere. So far we have had a pet frog named Chester and today we collected "Sara".

Gracelyn did what she does best. Sitting and hanging out with her favorite Daddy, her best friend Mia and her most favorite person in the world... Big Sissy Mara

Friends, Friends, Friends

Gracelyn had a play date with her girlfriend Elle. They just stared at each other a lot and occasionally screamed over a toy. It is always fun to see how the little ones react to each other. Gracelyn really wanted to eat her toes!!!

Mara had a birthday party for JJ. It was at the odyssey and they had a great time. Although we were there for JJ Mara just can't get enough of her friend Alayna. Mara loves her and really looks up to her.

The last picture pretty much sums up Gracelyns thoughts and feelings on being on her belly and crawling. It is not her favorite thing and I am thinking she is just going to skip the whole thing all together and let mommy carry her forever.

Smiles

Well we have decided to begin this blogging thing so we could keep you updated on the lives of the Meisberger Monkeys!! It gives everyone a chance to see how the girls are growing and to catch a glimpse of the crazy things that happen daily. Gracelyn is finally taking a bottle, sits up great but really has no interest in crawling or walking. Quite frankly I am completely ok with her decision not to accomplish those milestones right now. The big first tooth has emerged but it is up top and it is all by it's lonesome. Yeah for me.. more long nights of teething :) hee hee

Mara is busy as always. Right now she is in school, ballet, swimming and gymnastics. We have recovered from the head surgery and it looks fantastic!!! Mara can hardly wait for the summer and is also really anticipating her 6th Birthday in Sept as well as Kindergarten. Mainly you will find her constantly dancing around the house in some crazy costume or playing with her sis.
Well stay tuned as there are always many adventures going on in the Meisberger family.
