No time because it's Festival Time

I will get to blogging next week I have just been super slammed with Festival of Trees. Ladies Night kicks off tonight and it's going to be Awesome. The weekend is jam packed with festivities all to help raise money for our awesome children's hospital. I have been asked why I do it and it's because I have needed the services for my own family and I know there will be hundreds of other families that will need those services someday as well. Raising this money for such an extraordinary event will make this all possible :)

Cheers to Festival!!
Thanks to all of you who donated! We couldn't do it without you :)

Awesome Daughter

Lately Mara has really been into the song "Our God is an Awesome God". Gracelyn now knows it as well and throughout my day lately they have been playing instruments and singing it in the house. It just melts me to know that both my girls have Jesus in their hearts!

Mara then came to me with this great poster she made for the fridge. There is a bible verse across the top as well as the words "Our God is an Awesome God".

This little art project will go right into the bin of precious projects.
Thank you Mara for letting mommy love you and for loving others the way that you do.

Then the very next morning I had an e-mail in my inbox from Maras teacher and this is what it said...

Just a quick note this morning to let you know what a dear Mara is. She is a hard worker and always a peacemaker. She cares deeply for her fellow students and is generous and gracious in all situations. I appreciate all these qualities in her. You should be very proud :)

Very proud Mamma here..

Happy Helper

Sunday morning when I got home from church I found this monkey rolling up sausages for "Pigs in a blanket". They sure were yummy!

Shortly after I was reading my Sunday paper and she asked for the toy ad. This is always a big deal to my girls and it is something they do every week. They look, circle and then ususally make page long lists of the things they dream of having for Christmas. It is very cute and usually gets me at least an hours worth of entertainment so I can enjoy my paper and coffee.

Quick Update

Just a quick update on me and the job. I decided to resign but I am totally ok with it. It was really very hard to go from full time mommy to full time worker. Both of my girls were having a very difficult time with it and so I decided it was best if I resigned. Although dressing up everyday and being around adults was fun it just reconfirmed that I know what I am supposed to do and that is be a mommy! They are only little once and before I know it they will both be in full time school. Until them I am going to cherish my time and let life unfold the way it is supposed to!

Pilgrim

On Monday when I got to school I was not just picking up my daughter Gracelyn I was picking up "Pilgrim Gracelyn". Mrs Smith had made this precious little pilgrim hats for the girls and the boys got black top hats.

Once we were in the car I was asking Gracelyn how her day was and she said "I am Pilgrim Gracelyn and I came here on the Mayflower"

Amazing what these little ones can learn at such a young age! Happy Thanksgiving month! There are so many wonderful things in my life that I am thankful for!

Junie B. Jones

Sunday afternoon Mara and I got to have some great one on one time. Over the last 2 years she has been reading the Junie B. Jones books. I read them to her as a kindergartner and now she has read them on her own. They are pretty funny and that little Junie B sure gets into a lot of trouble. The musical theater up on 6th avenue was performing Junie B. Jones and a little Monkey Business so Mara and I made a date.

The play was just fabulous and we even got to meet Ms. Junie B herself. The theater was packed with children of all ages and although Mara and I had a blast I think Gracelyn would have loved it too.

The play runs this weekend as well if anyone is interested. If you have kiddos I really recommend it!

Headache

Lately Gracelyn has been telling me that she has a headache. I think it is beause I am constantly telling her to quiet down because you are giving mommy a headache. Then she asks for an ice pack... Helps every time!
