I'm a Big Girl Now!!

Well we finally took the training wheels off. Mara decided it was time to try again and fortunately we had success.


but not without a little bump in the road!!



Gracie just liked watching from the sidelines. Gracelyn know not to give up these wheels anytime soon.

Saturday night it rained really hard so we decided to pack up early and get out of town.

Gracelyn was unsure about uncle Kevin the entire weekend but by Sunday she thought she liked him. I think his face hair used to scare her but not anymore!




After we left the campgrounds we decided to drive into Westport and give the go carts a whirl. Mara rode with Juju and thought it was just great. I don't think she stopped giggling the entire ride. What fun!! I can hardly believe how grown up she is becoming!

Beach, Bikinis and Bocce Ball

All of us headed to the beach. At first it was a bit chili but then the sun broke thru and we were able to have some fun. The kids and I played bocce ball multiple times, mara swam and danced around the beach and well Gracelyn just really ate a lot of sand. Oh well I guess thats what babies do right??







Did I mention the sand hole that juju dug out for Gracelyn. She loved it and don't ya know it was just her size!






After a really fun game of Bocce ball Jordan and Erin thought it would be soo funny if they threw me into the ocean. I fought and struggled but.. they won! I was soaked but it made for a good laugh!

Good Morning Campers

Thursday night was a success. Both girls slept thru the night and were up with the beautiful sun.

We cooked a yummy egg breakfast, played in the campsite for a bit and then headed to the beach.

Yo ho Yo ho a camping we will go!

Last Thursday I decided that it would be fun to take the girls camping down to Westport. Justin was gone but I had other family as well as my mom that were going to join us. We got down there around 4 and set up camp. Gracelyn thought the tent was great and Mara of course loved the campfire.

Maras best little buddy Joey showed up too with their camper. They got to stay right next to us so the kids could play! They really enjoyed making smores!!Yum Yum!!

SURPRISE!!

Sunday night we celebrated Melissa's 30th Birthday. It was a total surprise! We all met at Azteca and had a Mexican Fiesta with food, drinks, gifts and delicious cake!!

The best part of the night was when they came out with the big sombrero and sang Happy Birthday to her. Hee Hee. I have never seen her blush so much!



All in all it was a great time with a great bunch of gals!

A day with Gracie

Since turning one Gracelyn is more assertive and I think a bit more busy. In fact her new favorite thing to do is take off her diaper and be naked.
We were out in the backyard checking out our new tent for camping next week when she decided it would be a good time to be naked. When she was tired she leaned up against the tent to relax! Oh yeah and PEE!!!















In the afternoon her uncle JuJu gave her a yummy Oreo. It was her first one ever and as you can see she really enjoyed it!













Later on I was unloading the dishwasher and apparently Gracelyn thought I needed help. What a good little helper she is turning out to be!
